This policy explains what shoresmp.net collects and why. It covers this website and the ShoreSMP portal. The store at store.shoresmp.net shows its own terms.
What we collect
When you sign in with Discord: your Discord user ID, username, display name and avatar. If you're in the ShoreSMP Discord server, we also read your roles there to give you the matching access on the website.
When you link Minecraft or sign in from the game: your Minecraft username and UUID, and whether you play on Bedrock. Your skin is shown as your picture; it comes from Mojang's public skin service.
While you use the website signed in:
- Your sign-in sessions, with the IP address and browser each one started from, so you can review and end them under Account.
- Support tickets, messages, attachments and form answers you send, and staff replies.
- Staff and media applications, with your answers and the links you share.
- A log of important actions, such as sign-ins from Minecraft, account changes and staff actions. It can include the IP address an action came from.
From the Minecraft server: while you're online, the server reports your username, UUID and which game mode you're on, for the live player count. This is deleted about 90 seconds after you go offline.
Staff: staff can add a region to their staff profile; it shows on the public staff page with their local time.
We don't use advertising or analytics trackers, and we don't sell your data.
Cookies and local storage
We only use what the website needs to work:
shore_sessionkeeps you signed in, for up to 30 days.shore_oauth,shore_handoffandshore_sso_checkedare short-lived cookies used while you sign in and when you move between the website and the portal.- Your browser's local storage remembers small preferences, such as a closed announcement, the portal sidebar, ticket sounds and unsent drafts. They stay on your device.
Who else handles your data
- Discord, when you sign in with Discord, and to deliver ticket and application messages on our Discord server.
- Mojang (Microsoft), to look up Minecraft names and skins.
- Cloudflare, which sits in front of the website and passes requests to our server.
- Our server is a dedicated machine in New York, USA.
What's public
Your Minecraft name, skin, rank and the month you joined appear on your player profile. Staff names, Discord usernames, roles and staff details appear on the staff page. Approved creator videos appear on the creators page.
How long we keep it
- Sign-in sessions end after 30 days without use, or when you sign out.
- Tickets, applications and the action log are kept as a record of support and moderation.
- Nightly backups of the database are kept for 14 days on the server, and copies for about 30 days off it.
Your choices
- Under Account you can review and end your sign-in sessions and unlink Minecraft.
- You can delete your account under Account. That signs you out everywhere, unlinks Minecraft, closes your open tickets, removes your uploads, roles and pending applications, and replaces your name with "Deleted user". Messages you wrote in tickets stay under that name, and the action log keeps its records.
- For anything else about your data, open a ticket on the Support page or ask staff on our Discord.
Changes
We update this page when what we collect changes. The date at the top shows the latest update.
